35 Lessons in Critical Thinking: Think Like a Debater
A Short Break
Hello, I’m Pang Ying. Welcome to Think Like a Debater.
I’m sorry that there will be no regular episode this week; this is a short audio note to request a break.
The motion Zhan Qingyun and I will debate next is“Is preferential treatment for disadvantaged groups a form of discrimination?”。
The subject is broad, complicated, and sensitive, so we want to prepare properly.
Unfortunately, over the past two weekends I first had to work overtime and then attend a company event, leaving little time under my control.
To be responsible to you and to the quality of the program, I am taking one week off. We will release the episode next week, and we promise to prepare carefully.
Zhan has already declared that if she loses this motion to me, her Harvard Law School education will have been wasted. Hearing that, I knew I had better research the data and use my own strengths—if not to defeat her, then at least to give you an evenly matched debate.
Thank you for your patience. See you next week.
